DOJ should consider the following and well too should MSFT's lawyers. I guess we will have to go after CPQ, DELL and HP after we get done with INTC and MSFT. Liberal gov't giving away the store while talking of globalization at the same time. What are they thinking If we deball all the strong companies in the US what is going to be left of us to compete globally. The Europeans want to stop WCOM/MCI because WCOM is lean and is a formidable competitor while on the other hand if Mercedes wants to buy one of the big 3 that is fine with the US. We are shooting ourselves in the foot. All of us on this thread and especially those that are new to this country should consider what is going on; perhaps we are no longer the land of opportunity but are rather becoming like the government you fled from.

"This unexpected move raises still more questions in the portal debate.
Yahoo! will have such a button on Compaq desktops (as will AOL, GTE, and
Alta Vista), taking users directly to Yahoo! content. What does this
mean for Netscape? Its new portal strategy banks on Netscape browser
users being too lazy to change the default home page. Compaq has upped
the ante by giving PC users even easier access to Yahoo! and Alta Vista.
This strategy offers yet another reminder that the browser is not the
entry point to the Internet; the PC is. Gateway has its own ISP, Compaq
has its one-stop buttons, who's next? For all we know, Dell could
leverage its emerging dominance in the PC sector to become the dominant
portal player."
