Hi Sam, you get entire 10,000+ stocks and indices every night whether you want them or not. This is an improvement, in my mind, because in TC you have to activate. What a pain. Speed of update should not be a concern. My update occurs fine in a multitasking environment in the background. WOW solves the 255 limit per directory, use the Merge Data applet in WOW. But Andy's point is each QP MS directory has to be individually merged. I have 7 QP MS directories currently. Will likely automate this with WinBatch. Andy says next QP version will conform with MS new 2,000 maximum protocol. You tell QP what directories to update automatically with the MS Output applet in QP. Re: hard drive space - Andy reports that his TC consumed 250MB. If you decide to stay with QP and keep TC on the bare minimalist plan - I think that what Doug has decided to do. Derek
