Tom, Thanks for the reply. Picked up your book this weekend and am slowly working through it. Especially appreciate the story of your realization after years of stock brokering that you really knew nothing about picking stocks. As I read that passage a light turned on in may head with the sudden awareness that I have been operating under a similar cloud. I have a long way to go to master P&F (and thanks to Jan I have a good start), but I am slowly gaining a (heretofore lacking) sense of confidence in judging stock candidates that comes from the disciplined, common sense approach P&F provides. If only I had made this discovery a while back I'm certain I would have minimized, if not avoided entirely, some of the big mistakes I made while floundering around in the darkness of random chance stock picking!
