I do think the graphics industry has got to go through some
consolidation. There are just too many players scrapping for
those sockets and it is basically a commodity (ala drams) now.
S3 does have some pretty good assets and would likely survive
in one way or another. But Intel is going to make it
difficult for anyone to make money here for a while (unless
the ftc kicks their butt).

Until we see some acquisitions and signs of a recovery, I would
stay out of any graphics companies. I would not be trying to pick
the bottom. I already made the mistake of trying to pick the
bottom in the DD's...
