I wanted this post to stand alone:

Living Well Is The Best Revenge.......remember that book, the autobiography of the heir(s) to the Mark Cross leather stores ??? Contemporaries of Scott and Zelda, etc., published about twenty years ago. Anyway.....Great title, and one I have thought about many times over the years.

Fits Simula, Inc. management to a "Tee" today. The TRW and Delphi arrangements demonstrate clearly an admirable recovery from Autoliv's efforts to scuttle the ITS. Our management reacted very well, once they (finally) decided to react.

Presence of the TRW representative on the SMU board is significant. He is there to watch the contracts and provide a trusted (back at TRW) voice reporting on SMU progress. He is also responsible for the integration and success of the ITS (among a lot of other things). He is high-up in the company. I was a director once where Goodyear bought 10% of the company and put a representative on the board. It was like hooking up to the mothership. Very good deal.

That is what we have with TRW. This and the Delphi product development arrangement have made the Autoliv litigation, and any related fallout, largely irrelevant to the business. We lost some time, but are very much back on track. A job well done by the active SMU management.

Regarding SMU and Autoliv, you will come to see.......Living Well Is The Best Revenge. This would make a good title for an analyst's report, wouldn't it ??? mcd
