Ariel sells Dslam unit

CRANBURY, N.J., June 11 (UPI) _ Ariel Corp. has entered into a
definitive agreement to sell all of the assets of its Dslam Group to
Cabletron Systems Inc. of Rochester, New Hampshire for approximately
$33.5 million in cash.

In addition, Cabletron said it will enter into employment agreements
with the Dslam team members that will include sign-on, performance and
staying bonuses.

The deal is subject to certain conditions, including but not limited
to, governmental approvals. _-
