michael - Re.: software tools vs. body shops There is another aspect to this issue. The business model of a body shop will show a limitation of earnings growth after the company reaches a job completion rate based on their employee productivity. Whereas, the same number of bodies put to use in the development of new software products for y2k and beyond will grow earnings far beyond the body shop. I know a few small private companies that are changing from body shop to software companies. IMRS may be heading in this direction. Ram
