What you say makes a lot of sense....especially for those of us with memories that are slowly proving less efficient than the past, and yet need more memory power in our jobs, social situations, etc.

But to what extent is Intel's success (which is built on backward compatibility to previous chip generations) going to be a hindrance when the world does make another discontinuous change the way the PC did?
