I make the directories directly from QP MS output. Don't know if there is a difference if MS makes the directories. There has been a change recently re: .dat and .dop files. The older .dop files took up only 82 bytes. There is a SERIOUS waste of space if you are storing many .dop files on a disk partition greater than 250 MB (forgot the exact cutoff points). Drop the .dop if your SW doesn't need it (QP supports w/ or w/o .dop MS export).

Large drives should be partitioned to handle these little .dop files if you need to retain them. Partition Magic is a wonderful program to accomplish this. Or if starting fresh with a new drive, partition it at install.
