Berney,
Yup! There have been a lot of nasty charts out there the last couple months...BUT the trend has been up.IMHO..before I make any bets on the short side,I will wait for a failed rally.Look at the charts of the Dow back to last summer and how long we bounced off and around 8000.It took about 6 months before the market clearly broke through that mark.If I am right we will try the same thing again...that is one of the reasons I have been concerned more about bear traps.Personally, I am more bearish, but that doesn't stop me from holding/trading some stocks or playing some oex options. I tried for a couple oex 540 calls but didn't get filled and I am actually relieved. Now I quit with index options going into expiry as the time "thingy" isn't worth it for me.Before I get comfortable holding positions without some anxiety,I will have to see how things play out into Sept.
Regards,
Barbara
