Hi, Sam!!! That was a very interesting post. When I looked up theosophy it sounded perfectly logical and positive, but to conservative Christians it is another form of Satanism. Not only that, but according to them, it was Helena Blavatsky who caused the Holocaust. It is very disturbing to me that there are two such strikingly different world views. I don't know how we are ever going to have peace. Sam, I am very concerned about all of the stuff coming out of the Southern Baptist convention, especially about women submitting to their husbands. Part of the country is going backwards!! It seems like the far religious right is becoming very assertive, and politically more demanding at the same time. Dr. James Dobson is insisting that Republican candidates support a very radically conservative party platform. I suspect that in the next presidential election they will either prevail, or spin off and start a party of their own.
