I agree Jim, we are a global market but I wanted to point out the domestic situation. I have done zero research into world demand but certainly any country not rich in alternative fuel source nuc would appear to be their most economic option over near term. The thing that kills it here (North America)is the extreme high installation, long, long pay off and how is the retirement cost absorbed (de-commisioning following unit life). To give you an example fuel costs for a Candu reactor is less than CAN$5 (can't say how low in case any power marketers are lurking) per Mw (1,000,000 watts), coal is dependant on source (sulfur content), $14 - $23 per Mw, Oil mid to high $30. Gas - low to very high (spot demand - or contract).

Note: Candu's use very low grade fuel. No upgrading is required just refinement to suspend in pellet form. The American breeder on the other hand uses fuel which goes through a huge amount of costly upgrading (almost bomb grade).

Anyways happy to share with you. PS - I have been keeping my eye on SMR as I too believe they have great potential.

John._
