Processor

WHAT: Intel Corporation [Nasdaq:INTC - news] will introduce the Pentium(R) II Xeon(TM)
processor, a new offering designed specifically to meet the
needs of midrange and higher servers and workstations, in a
press event in the company's Santa Clara headquarters on
June 29. Intel's Pentium II Xeon processor will offer
leadership performance and scalability for those
manufacturers designing workstations and servers.
Patrick Gelsinger, corporate vice president and general
manager of Intel's Business Platform Group, and John Miner,
corporate vice president and general manager of Intel's
Enterprise Server Group, will present details of the
product features and benefits plus demonstrate some of the
high-end workstation and server applications.
An extensive demo showcase will highlight the new solutions
and capabilities that are enabled by the unique features
and increased performance capabilities of the new Pentium
II Xeon processor. Technology demonstrations will include
workstations and servers from leading computer companies;
digital content design, CAD, and EDA-financial analysis
applications for workstations; and database management,
Internet services, e-commerce and mission-critical
enterprise applications for servers. Executives from
numerous computer and software companies will be in
attendance.
