Mike:

Couple things. Whether you are long or short (a) is none of my business, (b) my intent never has been to influence people to buy or hold QC stock and (c) my participation is purely a function of intense frustration over the vast amount of noise that (for some reason) surrounds QC.

With regard to the Sawtek situation, Dick Grannis (QC's treasurer) told me, and I quote, "yes, the company has second sourced Sawtek. But, on the other hand, QC cannot make enough of the product (that includes the Sawtek component) to meet market demand. QC is not seeing any slowdown in this regard." Julie Cunningham (head of IR) reiterated that this was correct and pointed out, as I had suggested earlier, that the dollar's strength against the Asian currencies had created some competitive issues for Sawtek (i.e. foreign vendors' products have become less expensive).

Believe it or not, I never mind well-thought out, carefully considered, negative commentary. It's important for all of us to "think outside the box" and always keep challenging our assumptions. However, many comments (from many people) descend into the repetitious "noise" category that it sometimes becomes frustrating.

I very much appreciate your comment regarding your dyslexia. I admit that between your "handle" and your sometimes unfortunate spelling, I had formed a mental image of careless, wheeler dealer stock trader slinging B-S around in typical Wall Street fashion. Glad to know that I was mistaken.

Best Regards,

Gregg
