Draw your own conclusions:

1) The needle used in the Lifeguide key punctures only the outer layer of skin, to the dermis, approximately 1.4 millimeters. It does not reach far enough to intrude where capillaries and nerve endings are numerous. People who have used it describe the feeling as "a mild pinch," a "tweak," "a pressure point," etc. Is this the pain associated with traditional fingerprick techology?

2) The Lifeguide is not completely noninvasive: no platform which takes a physilogical sample will be, unless ISF can be "sucked out" by a chemical means.

3) The Lifeguide monitor is similar in size to a hand held cellular phone. Is it portable?

4) NTEG has stated that they will price the monitor and keys to make it competitive with existing technologies.

Would such a device be a substantial improvement to the quality of life of many people?

Steve
