As long as MSFT maintains their proprietary OS standards they are fighting a losing battle except for the low-end. They had the chance to open up their systems and they missed it. Their greed fogged their vision (if you can say MSFT has any vision whatsoever but to copy others ideas). As far as protocols, yes NT has to support TCP/IP and the like or their users won't be able to connect to the InterNet. To use this as an example of NT being an open protocal is GATESONIAN at its best (i.e., leveraging the ignorance of computer users by the vast majority of the computer population to try and make MSFT products open when knowledgeable users know that it is not). Mozek, can I ask you to migrate to the BS artists of other threads. You won't find the ignorance you thrive upon "too prevalent" on this particular thread.
