Syd:

I have a "full service" broker who occaisionally call me with "tips". These are jsut the tail end of deals he has already peddled to the big boys, but whatever..
I told him about GRNO, sent him some stuff, and he bought some (he says) for his personal account. It is too soon for him to recommend it retail for reasons of size (see GIFS discussions on brokerage procedures for microcaps), but I think this is a good way to publicize this stock.
If you can get people in the business to buy for themselves, then once the oil (and revenue) start flowing, they will have multiple reasons to push this issue: both for themselves, and to be heroes to their clients. It would be great if they would be touting this stock on faith, but it ain't gonna happen due to it's size and lack of coverage by the big boys.

As an aside, speaking of hype, I have been following a company called AES Corp for several years. Waaco posted it as a spotlight several weeks ago; since then, it has jumped from 40 to 50 (AES NYSE) and the warrants have jumped from ~ 18 to 26 (AESCW NASDAQ). Management is called for 20% revenue increases yearly for 2-3 years, then an explosion in 1999 when many capital projects (they build power plants internationally) come on line.
This is outside the realm of folks who like the small stuff, but if you are interested, write me and I will fill you in on this powerhouse. BTW, they do things like spend 100% of their profits on planting a million trees in Guatemal to "offset" their CO2 production by new plant construction. Pretty ethical, IMHO...
