White Shoes: Thanks for the warning. Not sure what to think at this point. Surely the stock is worth $13. Of course, I said that when it was at $16, so I bought a bunch at 15'ish. Fortunately, I bought it with profits from prior VIAS runups. If I'd been smart (heap big IF), I would have sold that bunch at 17 in a couple of days. But, no ... that would have been too easy. I prefer earning my money the hard way.
I didn't attend this year's International User Conference because I was out playing in the traffic with several thousand of my closest Harley-Davidson friends. So, I didn't get to hang around the Viasoft folks I've known for many years to determine whether the internal vibes were good, bad, or indifferent. With the stock down from its high of 65, I can imagine that the vibes aren't altogether wonderful.
There was also a dearth of news before and during the User Conference. That was a disturbing situation to me. Seems they would have taken the "captive audience" opportunity to relieve the doubts of many of their long time supporters.
This is beginning to look like a very juicy takeover candidate. They had a bunch of cash the last time I looked.
So, anybody who wants my shares, give me a call. I'll settle for $25. No, not for all of them ... per share, of course!
