chuck, The pattern of recent merger announcements suggests the most likely buyout candidates would be among the service companies simply because that is where bigger is likely to be better. It allows acquiring companies to get a more full menu of oil services. It is possible that SLB might be interested in a builder, since it is one of the few items they don't have. Baird
