Mel,You wanted to know why the stock took off. I can't tell why today was the day, but I can tell you that I've been following this stock for awhile and have seen slow & steady accumulation by somebody. If you have a serious long term investor take enough stock out of circulation you effectively reduce the float to the level that any news or anticipation of news drives the stock through the roof. I seriously doubt that this product will get to market under Sanquine's name, most of these Biotechs have their partners buy them out before they hit the consumer market.
