South Africa has publicized their willingness to be allies of both Angola and Sierra Leone in the last month. I am sure of two things, S.A's reasons are many and one big one is the diamonds/gold/oil in these two countries. S.A. is the political behemeath of Africa.

The best asset a company can have in Sierra Leone right now is connections with S.A. and Britain. The Armsec president is from S.A and set up the acquistion of Oriole. The management team of AmCan is well connected within Africa and Britain (Both countries are working with SL government to draft up the mining policy - which is almost a week late).

The 4th (or 5th) deadline for Angola to finalize the peace process is now June 25. I still am optimistic but concerned as well. News out of Angola is so scarce, it worries me.

Sierra Leone has offered rebels amnesty to surrender in two weeks (around beginning of June). ECOMOG has sworn to clean up the entire country in two weeks once the two week amnesty period is over. With the arms embargo lifted, any country can supply ECOMOG with the necessary fire power and support to finish them off, many countries are livid about the atrocities the junta has performed. I see this mess cleaning up within a month.

Many things can happen in the next month and the upside for AmCan is huge. Remember, with AmCan's well connected management team and properties within two of the most diamond rich gem quality countries in the world, the possibilities are enormous.

If the right things happened within the new mining policy, that Joint Venture AmCan's president talked about in February could immideately happen and the price of the stock could skyrocket.

Hard to believe from a company that is not followed too much or recommended by any brokerage houses as of now, but remember, AmCan has never once paid a brokerage house or mining analyst to promote their company. My guess is the float is so tight because the majority of the shares in the float are owned by close friends of the company.
