Thanks for the info, it makes sense now. Perhaps I need to identify a second tier of stocks that follow the ones used in program trades. I have noticed that when a stock is hot with retail clients it opens strong and falls back as the pre-market and at the open orders are filled. PFE is an opportunity to trade most days selling at the open and buying later in the day. Either long or short trades will work. If you get stuck in a downdraft the stock has enough news to bring it back up in a few days.
