Hey WDC going to 0 does not faze me at all - I bought it with the assumption that I will see what happens on Jan 1, 2000 and not a day sooner. I knew it was going to be a hairy ride.

FA told me that SEG had the best chance of the 3 but I wanted to gamble with the money - for fun I thought what the heck buy the one with the greatest risk - and that's what I did.

It really is only money. Something people here tend to forget too easily.

Finally in the context of portfolio returns it is the amount invested in the particular stock that is relevant - I have only a 'few' shares and thus more reason not to really care about what happens to WDC...

BTW glad you're having fun with golf - I've been likewise having a lot of fun enjoying the World Cup and riding my bike and playing soccer all day.

I don't even know or care what half the prices on my stocks are because I have half of them for a time horizon well into next year and so the day to day stuff does not bug me. Besides even with the WDC disaster I should be able to do my usual triple digit return thing by the time March 31, 1999 (my FY) rolls around and that is without any semi-equips and without getting concerned about Asia, Clinton, Maxtor, BTB and all the good stuff.

And thank you for your kind post as well.

Shane.
