June 11, 1998: Gold Illustrates Potential for Sleeper District Shawn Kennedy, President of X-Cal Resources announces the introduction to a technical report prepared by management of X-Cal Resources Ltd. indicates that a total mineral inventory of more than 7 million ounces of gold (182 million tonnes of 0.042 opt Au) exists in ground at the Sleeper Mine site. The mineral resource calculation utilizes the entire mine site drillhole database and the life-of-mine geostatistical parameters. The Sleeper Mine area is one of six project domains described in the report. The statistics illustrates strong exploration potential for the mine area and the district. The report on the Sleeper Gold Project by Winthrop A. Rowe, MSc., is being reviewed before release to the Sleeper joint venture (X-Cal Resources. 50%, Amax Gold Inc. (now Kinross) 50%).
