Wow,
What a refreshing thread. Just got back from one of many delightfull fishing trips this summer so far, and sat down to do some research.
Looking around, what do I find but a thread with warmth and heartlifting thoughts.
Wayne, I do not have a family ( not yet anyway :=) ), but I can relate very much to your explanation abt happiness. When I have finished an ice/snow sculpture, there is the wonderfull moment when people young and old just stand there, or kids running in circle, looking, smiling, laughing and pointing. This moment is so precious to me, and it let me forget all that should not BE.
Making other people happy and laughing is pure joy to the heart.
I wish sometimes there could be a "sculpture" in some threads on SI.
For you who are interested in names, mine " Sveen" comes from when the "black death" or plaugue hit Europe.
Everything including the farm had to be burnt and my name
Sveen = burnt ground :=)
