Craig, I might be wrong but you might have misinterpreted the figures. Again you have seen the numbers so you could more than likely be right.

You said that it stated NOVL had 22% of 32% of these installs. That would mean .22 x .32 = .07 (7%). I dont know the exact quote of your source. 70% seems a bit high and 7% is much too low. Just want to understand your figures better.

Ahh, you might very well be right. forget the stuff upstairs.

Also, are they not counting all those networks that use WIN95, Lantastic, etc., or are they not considering peer-to-peer networking as a NOS?

The other factor you have were over optimistic on is the price of Novell software. IntranetWare for Small business on the very small sites (25 seats and under) is substantially cheaper (especially if you consider competitive upgrades from Win95 software). Also, what percentage of the sites will be installing 50user 25user or combos under 100user which reduces the revenue you predicted.

But with all that being said, even if you cut the revenue in half, I still would be impressed with the figures.

Good base analysis though Craig! It still shows that NOVL's future is looking bright.
