Counts By Two (Cool name, by the way):
I think I understand who everyone purports to be; I'm just expressing skepticism based on what I am seeing and what they are saying.
I was going along with Auric for awhile, until he posted his list of brokers that would accept short sales of this fine stock. Later, although he never acknowledged that that info was wrong, he posted another list, and this time I had never heard of any of the firms, unlike the first list. That made me wonder a bit.
It is also hard for me to understand his "story" of being short. He hasn't explained why he "don't need no stinkin' borrow" (or whatever his exact words were), and he hasn't really explained to my satisfaction just how he expects this to play out.
I understand that he is implying that he is selling stock (short) to the stooge (in my opinion) Market Maker at the ask, but I don't understand where he is supposed to be getting the stock to deliver. I also don't understand why he would want anyone to sell, since those very sellers would then have to produce certificates, which he has presumably borrowed to sell short - thus producing a squeeze on himself. Of course, he has said repeatedly that he doesn't need to borrow stock, which I don't understand.
I'll grant you that maybe this is all just over my head; I haven't bought any BB stocks for many years, and I certainly don't understand the ins and outs of this shadowy (to me, anyway) world.
Auric, how about being more explicit. Could you describe in simple terms what is going on here, instead of using all the in-crowd double talk? One of the reasons I follow this thread (in addition to the pure amusement factor) is to try to learn more about the machinations of the marketplace.
This stock is certainly an interesting study in human motivations and behavior, in my opinion.
