Pruguy ... this is a struggling company that has become a struggling stock. I thought that the worst would soon be behind the company and that the strategic moves of acquiring DEC would pay off relatively soon (but not as soon as CPQ management believe!). Now I think the problems with CPQ are much worse than I thought and the stock price should decline. My remaining shares were bought at 34.5 and I see 20 as more realistic than 40 at this time. In saying that, I am usually wrong. The chip stocks bounced when their fundamentals were awful ... and they have now retreated. Heck I thought MU was a good short at 24 .... but it went to 38 before reality recently hit ... so who knows with Compaq. I will, however, be selling my remaining shares on any strength and take my medicine. I will get back in sometime ... but I see very low twenties sometime this year. Long term they are too big to fail ... I think ....

Good luck everyone

Stephen
