I have been reading your posts for sometime now and have respect for your opinion. Let me state first off that I am a Christian and my occupation is a geologist. I have been attending a Bible believing fundamentalist church for a number of years. The topic that I have been struggling with recently is evolution vs. creationism.

It seems to me that the established church is unwilling to even entertain that evolution could occur. They seem to be sticking to the 6 days of creation and will not budge from that stance. As a geologist it is VERY difficult to say that the earth is 10,000 years old. I am not saying that it is not possible, but probably unlikey. Could God have created the earth with the look of being old...you bet.
Forgive me for letting off a little steam, and I am talking to myself probably more than you. I have been struggling with this topic of late and was just curious to see what your thoughts were.
