Letters to the Editor? Adverts?

I guess the "truce" in the media is over. I noticed that De Beers' mouthpiece questioned whether SUF/Randgold ever held prospecting permits for Marsfontein. These were issued, quite properly, by the DME. Is De Beers questioning the integrity of the DME? Or chastising the DME when it benefits monolithic De Beers?

How interesting that there were two responses to last weeks article.
I think that the corporate communicator sounds like Infoman and the other fellow sounds like Gull. Or maybe they have employees to post here with us.

Some notes:

Why was this the only article replied to by these two guys?
(Probably because it was the only one they didn't influence)

Why are both parties still negotiating with SUF? This is key. The only reason De Beers has to mess around with SUF is the fear of losing something. What?

Why have the "heirs" not been paid? Surely De Beers can get a prospecting permit from the DME in short order.

Why does NGS care if Section 24 is used to expropriate the mineral rights? They would get paid according to the deal with De Beers as this represents the "market price". They would likely receive payment earlier with this action. Something else is at work here. What?

NGS and De Beers don't need SUF, according to their propaganda. So why are they still talking? Obviously, the propaganda is untrue/incomplete -- Isn't this surprising.

PS I hope no one got caught holding MPV stock. Sounded like great news, but even RSA officials commented that the better the find, the longer the wait until mining could ever happen. Look at Venetia. And the recent article in BD stating that diamonds may be more valuable left in the ground. Only to De Beers.
