<<"Gingrich has derided the bill as a big-tax, big-government bill.
Christina M. Martin , Gingrich's spokeswoman, confirmed last night that , if the Senate passes the
McCain bill on the Senate floor, then Gingrich will refuse to negotiate in a conference committee, a
panel of members appointed from both houses to resolve differences between bills. We will exercise
our right not to take up the bill in conference.">>

RIP, tobacco bill. No way this will pass both houses.

Likely will force the states to renegotiate or settle case-by-case. All awards will be appealed.

I smell victory for tobacco!!

Clinton will be tied up in his own court battles soon. Lewinsky testimony looks likely to me. Clinton-gate may get nasty!!

CNBS analyst (Solomon?) saying tobaccos are great portfolio holds!! Says if tobacco is worth even $1 of stock prices of RN and MO, then these stocks are undervalued off their food divisions. He also pointed out that tobacco stocks trade independent of the market which offer protection to portfolios in uncertain times!!!
