New Kid on the Block: Please read Upstream Oil and gas article out today on ERHC. About 20 blocks in DRSTP is being targeted initially for lease sale, and our great partner, Schlumberger (SLB)is expected to complete the necessary seismic by October. Remember these blocks could easily be sold for millions of dollars, even under current conditions in the oil and gas industry, because a single well in this area is capable of producing 10's to 100's of thousands barrel of oil per day. By the way, I spoke to a Schlumberger/Geco-Prakla senior officer in U.K. 2 days ago (Mark), and he said that ERHC and SLB teams are in DRSTP this week planning future moves.
