Nag, No one said he had to say something - but Cisco is an $80B company and therefore as a journalist he can't ignore it. It would conspicuous. Yes, you're right, he should have contacted the company. That's what a good journalist would do. Apparently he didn't and therefore he was left speculating. So, here we are - we're all speculating.
