Interesting info on UltraSound and the NT and May '97 David. How are things going in Europe? Is SB the defacto standard over there? Brad Craig, at one time, was responsible for making UltraSound #1 in Europe as head of developer relations.

Unfortunately Soundblaster(16 or 32) is the defacto standard here in Europe, or better the Soundblaster compatible is (it doesn't nescessarily have to be Creative Labs, but it often is, unless in a complete system). I doubt Gravis will change that unless they make a serious amount of publicity. Hardly any shop here in Belgium sells or even knows the gus p'n'p, or they have dropped the card after having so many porblems with the 1.x drivers' installation. Hell, many people don't even know the word "soundcard", they say "soundblaster" instead!!! Jeezes! It's come so far that people got so much Creative Labs publicity they don't even judge the card because of how it sounds, but because of how it is called!!! This is completely wrong ofcourse, and it is up to Gravis (and fellow competitor soundcardmanufacturers) to change that...
