You are correct, Andew. However, if you go to the fda website and look under human drugs, you will find info that states that the fda is attempting to speed up the process of approval for drgs given for life-threatening circumstances. Some of the HIV drugs were benefactors of this . Now I am not saying that this will be the case with this drug, but I will say that we could call the fda and fnd out whether drug derivatives useful in life threatening situations (such as this one, I presume) can get faster approval. Again , let us collect more facts and then assess the sithuation.
