z:I think the Argentinian referree called a good game, not great.
Disagree.
He allowed a far too rough game that given the right circumstances, (i.e. dirty players), it could have degenerated into a massacre."

The game was not too rough. And it did not degenerate into a masacre.

"At the same time he gave a yellow card to a Danish player that protested (in a civil manner), for some of the unchecked roughness..."

He probably got it because he said something not too polite.

"This is the type of referee that can turn a good game into a disaster...."

It was a difficult game to call. It is always difficult to call a game when Stoichkov plays<gg>

My opinion only too:)

Remember, I do officiate once in a while. It is VERY tough being a referee, especially in the World Cup. I think most referrees are doing a pretty good job so far.

The guy calling the France - S. Africa game, oh what an annyoing whistling style!
