France - S. Africa: 3 - 0 An easy and convincing win and a great start for France. To remind everyone I have picked France to win it all (deep down Brazil remains my favorite). You just saw the brilliance of Zedane, man what a player! He is like a maestro out there conducting the symphony. S. Africa had a good team, with lots of technical and physical skills but.........where is the offense? They must forget this game and concentrate on being the Danes. I believe they can pull it off, the Danes are not that good as most people believe! So logic says France and Denmark should advance but do not count S. Africa out yet. The 2nd and 3rd goal were definitely savable (is this a real word?)but that tall bold guy mistimed his steps totally both times and put it into his own net. 3rd own goal in 3 days, is this a record yet? As far as today's predictions, no need to worry everyone...I am still 100%.........inaccurate. But I did come very close today, I had France winning 4-1 and Bulgaria tied 1-1.
