Hey, James.... I've been lurking TREY for a few weeks and just took a small position. Here's some DD that I did myself that you may find interesting:
TREY is a holding company for Megatran Investments and Mega Blow Moulding Limited, manufactures and markets customized plastic containers. It seems that TREY was on an acquisition hunt back a few years ago so they acquired Mega Blow, which was a good move since Mega Blow was and continues to be growing and profitable. Then, around the beginning of 1997, TREY acquired a costume jewelry company in South Florida called "Silver 925" based the financial #'s they were given....however, according to TREY, the #'s ended up being less than what they were told, and the deal ended up costing TREY alot of money. To make things worse, some shareholders that had a large position fueled the downward spiral by deciding to dump their stock around the time TREY was taking the hit with Silver 925. These factors seem to be what drove the price to it's all time low of a less than 2 cents, and brings us to present day.
To me, TREY seems like a great opportunity with the it's price in the 10 to 15 cent range. With it's financial problems supposedly shed, the company may be lining up acquisitions. I was told that the total outstanding shares are approx. 35 million, and the public float is around 24 million. Currently, there is a large amount of accumulating going on by a large investor; the mentality seems to be that the company's large capitalization makes for a more stable stock. TREY currently files with the SEC. For your own DD:
