Don:

It's not surprising that these organizations aren't listed in the yellow pages as your average consumer does very little textile shopping. However, you made a good point so I tried long distance information for Olympus Mills and did, in fact, get a listing that matched Claudia's post from last week. (Yahoo Yellow Pages did NOT have this listing.) I then called and at least confirmed their existence.

As for Lions Sports, I also called the number that Claudia had posted and reached a guy named "Vince" who claimed to be the President of Lions Sports. When I asked why they weren't listed in information he said that he had been incorporated less than 150 days. He did confirm that he had placed a "substantial" order with Olympus Ventures and will take delivery in March of 1997.

My guess (and this is only a guess) is that this guy Vince is a one man show operating out of his house. Even his voice mail says "Hi, this is Vince and I'm unavailable..." rather than any reference to Lions Sports. I suspect that he is a middle man who will try to make a buck or two off of each pair of jeans. For what it's worth, he was a very personable guy.

I doubt that this information will totally alleviate anyone's anxieties but I am breathing just a little bit easier. Regardless, this stock can't go much lower anyway and I have decided to mentally write this one off. If it turns out that this is legitimate then I could get a very pleasant surprise in '97.

Regards,

Bob
