<<<In general, these companies have huge customer bases already established, ala Yahoo, Lycos etc.>>> Were the huge customer bases there the day these companies opened their doors for business ? <<<How many people will be willing to pay a premium on their already inflated cell phone bills for the benefit of having the service that Portico offers?>>> Instead of asking this question, state your case. Are you saying there will be zero demand ? The telcos must smell money here, otherwise why even bother at all ? I see many people using cell phones where cost does not seem to be an object. Standing in check-out lines buying groceries, sitting in restaurants while there is a pay phone twenty feet away, driving down the road in their cars, and don't tell me these are people making business calls. It is very obvious to me that the people that I am talking about are not business people. So my point is if these people use cell phones in this frivolous manner, do you think that people will not pay for a service such as Portico to help them make money and lighten their load ? I know this is simplistic thinking but I prefer it to being too complex. I'm a person who bought this stock, and this is the way I think, and I know there are plenty of other people who are buying this stock that think the same way I do. There is something here and it is so damn obvious, that it jumps out at you. |
