Even if you got the quote that doesn't mean that the trade would have executed. Remember the professional option traders do not take risks if they can avoid it, and won't trade except in a stable market because they want to make sure that they can hedge themselves. If you want to trade in a fast market, trade the stock, not the options, because your trades will happen when you want them to happen (except when you try to short a falling stock, of course, as shorts can only happen on an uptick).
