Sanguine's office is located in Old Town Pasadena. It is a very modest office amongst other businesses in the building, but the kind of office that our wives would kill for - brick walls and old floors - vaulted unfinished ceiling - very tastefully done. This building is in a very upscale and popular part of town. The Rose Bowl is 5 minutes away and Colorado St(where the New Years Parade is) is a block away.
I was greeted by both Dr. Drees and Anthony Hargreaves. They were both very warm and coordial to me and opened up the floor for discussion. General Facts I confirmed with both:

SHARES AUTHORIZED: 100 MILLION
SHARES ISSUED: 21 MILLION
SHARES RESTRICTED: 14 MILL - of which dr drees currently owns approx 60%
FLOAT: 7 MILL

*I would like to add that Dr. Drees commented to me that he nor anyone else affilated would sell their shares for the purpose of PERSONAL PROFIT. AGAIN, PERSONAL PROFIT.

Drdan called in at that moment and the technical product discussion ensued. In a nutshell:
in 1989 Green Cross (Japanese subsidiary that Dr Drees was with) received FDA approval from animal and human testing. The product was pulled from the shelves in Japan and in US because of an administrative error on paperwork falsely documenting dates of human application. Clearly the product was approved but the Japanese clerical error caused them to 'lose face' forcing them to withdrawl the product. Again - this error was not product related and was successfully tested on 15,000 humans.
Dr Drees is a straight shooter. He willfully spoke about the financing and product business plan. He doesn't want to start until the funding is totally in place. The plan is to obtain financing (done deal through private investors will be announced within the next few weeks - but it is a done deal) Battelle is on board and it is of Dr Drees opinion that he and Battelle are giving pher-02 (2nd generation) a 95-98% success rate. If this wasn't the case, Battelle wouldn't bother with Sanguine.
Lily, Alliance, Baxter and others have been burned trying to create this type of product. The demand is so huge for a successful product that these large corporations have invested millions building their own physical plants to R&D - only to scrap them because of difficulties resulting from trying to make this work. These large co's are 'once bitten twice shy' and are waiting in the wings with big eyes towards the Battelle research in Ohio w/ pher-02. that is why Dr Drees went to private investors. Sanguine already has nearly a 20 year start on what is normally a 20 or more year process from start to launch. Dr Drees approximates 3 years for product launch of pher-02 into a 20 billion industry. He has a applied for a patent and is waiting on 'patent pending' status - which will be very desirable to another larger company. He did not state when that would happen.
Another point is that pher-02 will be most successful for export use than domestic. there are many 3rd world countries in dire need of a product that has a long 'shelf life' - also with religious implications, this is the product for 2 billion of the Muslims in this world.
Questions to ask yourself as an investor
*Do I have the patience to ride the highs and lows and do I believe in the product/mgt team?
*Why would a co w/the reputation of Battelle sign up unless they knew something about pher-02 and they knew that Sanguine's checks are not going to bounce?
*Why would a private interest invest approx 30mil in pher-02 r&d unless they knew a great deal about the product and potential?
The testing at Battelle will commence in a couple of weeks.
For the record - I knew very little about blood and related products besides the fact that i put a band aid on my hand when i cut myself. Bear with me i'm trying to get a handle on the jargon and background. I surely don't claim to be an expert and possible never will - don't want too! Just want a long term investment that may turn out to be a goldmine. Do your own DD etc etc. Call the Co! they will be glad to speak w/you. The Doc is a great guy - easy to talk to and willing to help.
*A note of interest - at no time did he even SPEAK or ASK about the stock price. He is so into this product, his life's goal is to see it come to fruition - and prove to those who said 'it can't be done'.
I welcome comments/questions/flames/PM's
