Although I'm not throwing a lot of bouquets, you might
have a look at Dreyfus Brokerage Systems (used to be PBS)
at www.tradepbs.com. They have probably the cheapest options
on the web -- 1.75 per contract minimum $15. They also
answer their phones.

I won't shout about the executions or order flow; but it's
still decent. I've gotten trades in the spread (normally
have to wait around form the option MM to get tired).
Today they directed a buy limit of mine to Chicago and
I saw an offer go by at my bid but didn't get a fill.
I had to call them, but within a few minutes I had a fill
at my limit although the option had traded away 1/8.

Shouldn't have to rattle a cage, but at least they took
care of it.

So, no great bouquets of roses but not throwing garlic
either <gg>. And the commissions are not to complain
about. Don't get the instant reports Datek gives when
they're working, but I've never waited more than a
minute or two for confirms of marketable orders.
I've had a couple of Nas orders split, but the complete
fill has come along immediately (at one commission).

Also offer AON and order changes without cancellation.

Security not great. (Secure logon but afterward, blaeahhh.)
Still, I do most of my online trades there, mostly because
I dabble in options.

PS. Listed and Nas stocks up to 5000 (I think) shares
are also $15, market and limit. I don't trade BBs so
I can't talk about that.
