OFF TOPIC TO FLAGET, THE GRAMMARIAN...Alas, Latin is clearly not your first language; otherwise, you surely would have known that what you identified as "inre" does not exist. I'm sure you must have meant "in re" spelled as two words. You might also brush up on the rules of punctuation. For example, "in regard to" requires no hyphens. Once you've mastered that, why not move on to bigger and better things such as those nasty introductory clauses. They require a comma to separate them from the main clause as in, "If the activity of your shotwreck biz permits,..." Your desire to use the language correctly should also make you eager to learn that "stock market" is not one word. If you don't mind my curiosity, why would you qualify your certitude with "IMHO?" Particularly silly as there is no "opinion" to be offered. One is either correct, or one is incorrect. I could go on, but perhaps the OED and/or a good grammar and punctuation book would be more useful to you. When you've learned something, drop by again. Cheers - Jean |
