I will wait until we have exhausted the question of who Yeshua is and his influence on the world. Suffice it to say that if Yeshua is the creator, then any system he directs would be superior to any that man could come up with on his own. I also must tell you that being a Christian is not an ethical system. It is a relationship with the God that created us. He promises to write his laws on the hearts of his people. The work of ethics is his. It is up to us to begin the process by willingly being adopted into the family of God. It is rather like the relationship of a loving father towards a son. The father teaches the son and hopes that he will be ethical. A loving father does not disown his son if he misbehaves. He may discipline him as I have been disciplined many times by God. His love is unconditional and that is why I stress relationship with God rather than rules. The rules are not for me to teach you. I only ask that you allow yourself to become his child. Eph 1:5 Having predestinated us unto the adoption of children by Jesus Christ to himself, according to the good pleasure of his will, Rom 8:15 For ye have not received the spirit of bondage again to fear; but ye have received the Spirit of adoption, whereby we cry, Abba, Father. (Abba is the Hebrew equivalent of Da-Da) If a person claims to be a Christian and they do not follow the example of the savior there is reason to doubt them. Not judge as that is between them and God but I would find it difficult to follow their counsel if they were not walking in the truth. Luke 6:46 And why call ye me, Lord, Lord, and do not the things which I say? Let us focus on the life, death and resurrection of Yeshua for now. Let me know when you have finished with Luke.
