Donald, I would like to join in by using another version. tell me what you think Luke 4: 17-19 (Greek Interlinear Interpretation) And was handed to Him a roll of the Prophet Essias, and having opened the roll he found the place where it was having been written: The Spirit of (the) Lord (is)upon me, wherefore he annointed me to evangelize (the) poor, he has sent me to proclaim to captives release and to blind(ones) sight, to send away having been crushed(ones) in release to proclaim a year of (the) Lord acceptable. That and one other version that I read, leads me to believe that Jesus was not talking about poor in $$ wealth but in God wealth,not physical blindness but blindness to the scripture, or ignorance, and the release of the captives is Israel under the law? what do you think? dan
