Dave, lets say I have 2 lines, but one line is used for the Internet, the other my main telephone number. The consumer still needs the first phone line for voice so that is fixed regardless of ADSL or cable. The one line I use for the Internet costs ~$20. Add about $19 a month (much cheaper in some places) for ISP and that is $39. $70 is another $31 a month. I just don't believe most consumers will pay that much. The cable modem take rate proves it. Plus, cable modem service includes the price of the cable modem in the monthly charge. With ADSL you still need to buy an expensive ADSL modem.

Most people do not have that kind of disposable income, or have the psychological stance to pay the extra per month. Hope I'm wrong, but I doubt it. I'm looking to business to pick up the real numbers for ADSL.

Hal
