You know, I was thinking Tom, what chip set breakthrough could RMBS develop to overcome these "so called" drawbacks...Do you have any thoughts on this, or if not on that question, I have to think RMBS is developing even more cutting edge chip set designs, wonder what they are??

Oh yea, my post was using YOUR hypothetical scenario of RDRAM costing $100 and standard DRAM costing $25. I was not so sure where you go that number. I would not assume there will be a discrepancy of $75 between the two, BWDIK. If there is, then there would be problems, does not matter what product you are talking about, PC's, printers, monitors, etc...My original post was simply to try and pin down the cost differential between DRAM as we know it now and RDRAM?
