Forgot about the second question. All mammalian red blood cells share certain structural similarities and certain cell surface proteins . The fact that the pfc did not cause any obvious destruction of red blood cells in the dogs suggests strongly that the compound will be compatible to human red cells. I need to see the entire article to insure that my statement is completely accurate,though.
