Good point, and you may well be correct -- BUT, I'm thinking that given the exisiting penetration of the internet as PNL's supporting infastructure and the 'nets continued rapid spread -- it will take much less time than the spread of CAD.
Think back to when CAD came out and the massive amount of change, adoption, and adaptation which needed to take place. It's a totally different world than the one into which PNL is trying to operate. The supporting technology is now widely spread, accepted, understood, and considerd standard industry practice.
If PNL were ahead of the tech curve in needing to wait for the supporting technology to play catch-up with its service potential, then I would more fully agree with you're observation. As it is, the demand, skills, and supporting infasturcture are in place and growing. PLN just needs to get its service up-to-speed. |
